1 Make sure that you modem has power light green.
2 Make sure that the internet light is green and not red.
3 Make sure that your that compueter is getting IP address.
4 Release and renew you IP address by command NETSH WINSOCK RESET on commanda line.

You can type NETSH WINSOCK RESET which will resolves connectivity issues, slow internet, and DNS errors caused by corrupted settings or malware.
You go to command prompt by right click in start menu and go to terminal mode(admin) and run this command.
Turning it off and on again always works
Turning it off and on resets you dynamic IP address and assigns new IP address then some you internet will start working.
